How Do We Charge Fairly?
Fees are based on the cost identified on the four worksheets. Client or family income level is the determining factor for what level or percentage of the full fee a client will be charged.
- Once the fee schedule is developed, it should be evaluated at least annually
- Fees must be reasonable, related to cost, and not provide a barrier to care
- A sliding fee scale must be simple if it is to be useful
- Any fee scale which is overly burdensome to the cashier or person computing the fee loses its value as the time required to compute the fee increases.
