Integrating one or more science-based approaches into a program may seem overwhelming. It may seem like there is not enough staff time, money, or resources to integrate these approaches. By reading through this module, practitioners may begin to realize that they are already doing some of these key steps in their every day program activities. Using research, theory, logical rationale for activities, best practices, and evaluation are all integral components to quality public health interventions. Many practitioners do not even realize that they do at least one of these strategies in their current programs. Here each component of a science-based approach to adolescent sexual health interventions will be described in detail. |
