Purpose:
Health Care Education and Training, Inc. presents the
Eighteenth Annual Conference for Nurse Practitioners
and Nurse Midwives to provide an ideal opportunity
for clinicians to expand their knowledge and skills in
reproductive health, primary care and wellness issues.
This year’s conference offers a variety of topics which are
designed to provide participants with practical strategies
for managing challenges posed in clinical practice.
Goal:
Participants will gain knowledge and increase their
ability to apply theoretical models to practical situations
that will strengthen their proficiency in women’s health
medical practice.
Pre-conference Presentation:
March 5, 9:30am - 5pm
Diane Davalos is teaching a quick immersion Spanish language
course for health care practitioners. Enrollment is limited to 50
people. Attendees will learn words and phrases to converse with
patients. Each participant will receive a tape to reinforce his/her
learning after the conference.
Keynote Speakers:

- Diane Davalos, MA, PhD
- is the President of Expanded
Learning located in Denver, Colorado. Diane is a specialist in
Spanish, English and the methodology of accelerative wholebrain
learning. She has taught in seven countries and offers quick
immersion language courses to diverse groups such as law
enforcement officers, health care professionals, social service
organizations, business, government agencies and educational
institutions. She has written five texts, produced many tapes and
authored teaching manuals. She is currently writing Learn a
Language Lickety Split!
- Opening Keynote Presenter
- Wendy Wright, MS, RN, ARNP, FNP
- is a Family Nurse Practitioner
at Merrimack Village Family Practice Center in Merrimack, New
Hampshire. She is also a Senior Lecturer for Fitzgerald Health
Education Associates. Wendy has produced video tapes on Physical
Examination of the Adult and audio tape programs on diabetes,
obesity, hyperlipidemia, hospital privileges, osteoporosis, allergic
rhinitis, sinusitis, and arthritis. She is on the faculty of Medscapes’s Ask the Expert Nurse Practitioner, past president of NPACE and a
NPACE Conference lecturer. Wendy has given clinical presentations
in 30 states for various groups as well as the AANP International
Conference.
- General Session Presenter
- Anne Moore, MSN, WHNP
- is a professor of nursing at Vanderbilt
University School of Nursing. She has been published in journals
such as Medical Economics and Medscape’s Ask the Expert Nurse
Practitioner. Her most recent article is “Helping Women Lose
Weight” published in Counseling.
