Description
HIV and hepatitis testing and prevention are not usually
the first reason people come in to a family planning
clinic, which is why this course was developed.
This workshop is designed to help you address these
important health issues directly and simply, in the
least amount of time possible.
Objective
The goal of this workshop is to increase the ability
of family planning providers to address HIV and
hepatitis within the context of a family planning
clinic visit.
Presenters
- Leigh Johnston, RN, BSN
- has been providing
education and training to the general public,
patients, and providers since 1995. She has
worked in clinical settings, aided in program

Leigh brings a wealth of experience and passion
for HIV/STD prevention to her role as the
HCV/HIV Training Manager for Health Care Education
and Training, Inc.
- Marge A. Sutinen (WI only)

HIV/AIDS since 1987 and has trained over

HIV+ population. She co-wrote and produced

“AIDS/AFRAIDS,” has conducted courses at the
University of Pretoria in South Africa, and
