GLICHE is an intensive five day residential institute for professionals
working in adolescent reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, community
health, school classrooms, GLBT, sexuality and family planning
education. GLICHE is an experiential forum designed for professionals
to strengthen their core competencies. Participants are expected to play
an active role in the learning process.
GLICHE participants acquire knowledge on program design and
development while learning innovative and creative ways to influence
and engage a diverse array of students and clients. Participants learn
to model positive messages about human sexuality as they evaluate
their own ability to design and deliver effective presentations.
GLICHE Participants will:
- Develop skills in working with adolescent development and
sexuality to promote adolescent reproductive health
- Practice skills developing and conducting educational sessions
- Learn innovative methods and techniques in educational program
development and evaluation
- Receive and provide peer feedback
- Complete a self-assessment of skills, knowledge and attitudes as an
educator
- Determine how the information presented is relevant and useful
through an interactive format we call, “So What? Now What?”
