Purpose
The purpose of these periodic broadcasts is to offer a consistent venue for the exchange of information and dialogue between WSLH
staff and family planning providers throughout the state.
This Update will
cover a wide range of topics in addition to providing time for questions from
participants on any lab related subject.
Objectives
- Identify recent trends in the published protocol for the frequency of Pap testing, relative to high risk
populations served by family planning clinics
- Describe the HPV testing study comparing 100 percent Liquid Based and Conventional Pap with
HPV reflex testing
- Discuss the value of HPV reflex testing on patients with ASC-US diagnosis
- Describe recent data on how evidence based Selective Screening Criteria (SSC) for Chlamydia and
GC have been implemented in 2003

Audio Conferencing
Audio conferencing allow participants easy access to important topics without having to travel far or be out of the office for an extended period of time. And when you choose to listen in from a County Extension site, there is no charge!
Steps to participate:
- Register with HCET prior to the
deadline of April 9.
- Reserve a location that is quiet and convenient, such as a County Extension site or your own office conference room
(list of County Extension sites and phone in PDF
format).
- Dial in to the number provided and enter the conference code when prompted.
- Watch for the handouts and dial-in number to be sent to you 2-3 days prior to the broadcast.

Health Care Education and Training, Inc., Indianapolis, has been approved as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the Indiana State Nurses Association (ISNA). ISNA is accredited as an approver by the Commission on Accreditation of the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
